On saturday I shoot some bridals at Millennial Falls in Draper. It was a beautiful place, lots of variety. There were three different brides and we had a few different set-ups.

Today I saw a random quote, “Don’t be afraid to do new things, Amateurs built the ark, professionals built the Titanic” This made me think about things. I am fairly open to trying new things, especially when I come to photography. I feel that one of the best ways to learn is just to jump into it. Last week I tried using off camera lighting for the one of the first times. When you are trying new things it is great to find mentors to help you through your endeavors. When you have knowledge it is also important for you share it.
So get out there and try something new.

Recently I went to a provo creative photographer/model meetup. This meetup’s focus was to be one light. I met a lot of fun people and got some great shots.

For 2010 I have decided to have two blogs. This blog will be focused on my professional work. My other blog will be focused on my personal work including Landscapes, Nature, and Artsyfartsy stuff.
Come by and give it a visit. Http://torstenbangerter.wordpress.com
Here is an example of some personal work

I came up with some new wedding packages for 2010.

I think it is really important to look at the last year and see what you accomplished. Then look on to the new year and see what you want to do with it.
Here are some of my goals.
1. Shoot more weddings. Weddings are really great time to photograph. There is so much going on and a lot of variety.
2. I want to incorporate slideshows/dvd movies more into my packages. Fusion of images and music is where it is at these days.
3. Start offering albums. Taking on albums can some times be intimating, but I am going to go for it.
Anyways, I encourage you to look at your year and then make some goals of what you want to accomplish. Remember to make it something realistic. Also when making these resolutions, make smaller goals that you can take to achieve that goal.
