Jennifer in Wonderland
August 21, 2011I have been wanting to do an Alice in Wonderland shoot since last winter and just got around to doing it recently. I asked my Jennifer Hale to model for it, she was super excited for this project. I knew I kind of wanted it to be more like my other Tim Burton like projects, with that kind of little darker feel. We were very fortunate to find a very talent makeup artist to help us, Erika Esponiza. She really helped us get the vision Jennifer and I were looking for. I would also like to thank Ryan Romeike for let us shoot at his studio.
I really enjoy doing these more conceptual shoots, if you have any crazy ideas you would like to do, let me know.

What has Torsten Been up to?
August 15, 2011I bet you all have been wondering what I have been up to. Well some times it hard to remember what I have done.
I have been doing a lot product like photography for my new adventure with outdoor gear reviews. Mainly shoes so far but I hope to start reviewing lots of different things like stoves to sleeping bags.
I have also shot photographs of people because I like people.
I did a fun shoot with Kailialee and her mum Angel. Oh and you know these girls are wearing tube tops you know.
Shot another studio session
I went to a photographer/model meetup, those are always fun.

I shot Black and White a fun event

Its been a few weeks since I’ve bloged, I have done a bunch of things since then.
I did a maternity couples session
I shot a dance party that Marcus Wing had used his DJ skills at
I did my first under water shoot. Tell you what it take lots of work and time.
I did a fun session at a water fall in provo canyon
Ummm and I probably did some other stuff I forgot about haha.

Erin’s Studio Session
July 5, 2011Today I shoot Erin. Oh snap she is a lot of fun. We but some Benny Benassi on a pandora station and just had a blast. We both we just dancing our butts off haha. It was like the second shoot she had ever done and did great. I just loved her attitude and demeanor (is that the correct usage). But we just had some totally legit times OMG for fricken real. Anyway I heart her face.
Here is what she had to say about our session today,
“So did my first studio photo shoot with Torsten Bangerter today and let me just say…LOVED IT!!! The second I walk in the door he was right there saying hello and making me feel welcome and at home. Not only is he a great photographer, but he is sooo chill and a super fun guy. He is easy to talk to and easy to get along with. He even danced right along with me to the music we were playing haha. He gave his input but also asked for my ideas and let me experiment with different poses and helped me get them right. He was 100% helpful. Im so glad that he was so kind and willing and patient. I will definitely work with him again if he will let me 
”

Jazmine Headshots
April 23, 2011The other day I worked my a new model and friend Jazmine. She wanted to get some fun head shots. So we jetted over to the studio and busted out some great stuff.
First two the makeup is done in photoshop the second one was pretty crazy just wanted to try something interesting.
The last one the makeup is done by Jazmine.
